I have made backups of some old PS1 games of mine and want to know if it is possible to play these on an un-modded slim PS2 without additional software (unless Action Replay Max for the PS2 helps). If not, then are there any PS1 emulators for the PC that can run ISOs of these games?

The website above has links to 7 different working PS1 emulators for the PC.

If your PS2 doesn't have chip you can't play any of games on burned CDs or DVDs..also if you have old Boot disc from PS1 it won't help as it works only with PS1 chip..none of emulators won't help either 'cause you can't play all of PS games on PC..you need to upgrade your PS2 with new chip..then you can play all burned games nevermind they are for PS1 or PS2..

P.S. Action Replay is too old and you can play only CD copies of DVD games with lower quality..you need new chip (boot disc is unnecessary then )..

I'm sure copied games do work on normal PlayStations, and I would presume copied PS1 games would work on a PS2. Try it, and then if it doesn't work try to find an emulator.

If your machine isnt chipped then it wont play copied games regardless of if its PS1 or PS2
