You have three computers at home, and you want to network all three together. Two computers are on the main floor of the house, but the third one is upstairs in a bedroom. List as many ways as possible to interconnect the three computers so that they could operate on one local area network. You also need to list the estimated price and the needed hardware (e.g. router, cable, or wireless ..etc) and software for this LAN.

OK. We have several few ways to do this:
-Ethernet: You will need one hub and enough cable to ge to each PC in your house. It may be hard to get (and hide) a cable long enough to reach your upstairs PC.
-Wireless: You will need to purchase a hub and up to three wireless cards for the PCs (one or two may already come with a Wi-Fi card).
-Combination Serial and Ethernet: You do not need to buy a router, but you will need to buy either a Serical Cable or an Ethernet Cable that is lobg and hieable enough to reach your upstairs PC. Connect the two downstais computers directly to one-another with one cable, and then choose the newer of the two to connect with the other PC upstairs usiong the longer cable.
I'm sure there are more ways, but these are the ones I'm coming up with off the top of my head.
