When you get this card, you are ONLY ASSESSED FOR YOUR PROPERTIES!

If you don't have any house or hotels on your properties when you get this card, you don't have to pay anything.

If this card forces you into debt, you cannot eliminate this fee by selling off all your buildings. Once the fee is assessed, you must pay it... even if you have to sell your buildings to cover the fee.

In monopoly when asked to make street repairs you only make it for your houses and hotels...not anyone elses... I never made any street repairs for anyone elses...

but I guess if everyone's in agreeance prior to the game you can make your own rules...

probably the other card is community chest that asks you to do the same thing, because the chance and comm. chest cards are essentially the same.

so yeah, just pay for your own houses.

well, actually, you could just make up your own rules and play the game however you want.
but if you're playing by the "official rules" then you only have to pay for your own
