Well, I got a chamelon but my mom doesn't likes pets. Just ask her why. And if she says your not responsible and can't take care of it which is mostly the 1# answer either do the right thing to change her mind or just ask her just to try it out and if you don't take good care of it then tell her you can take it back or sell it.

Hi, having a hamster is a lot of responsibilities , they eat allot and you also need the proper bedding for it, they have to be fed and giving fresh water every day, i know a lot about hamsters because i have many of them , just let your mom know that you think that you can be responsible to take care of one,,, and make a deal with her that if you don't keep your promise that she can get rid of it ....
good luck

discuss with her, her reasons, and your practical solutions to her objec!ions.
show willingness to earn the money to pay for the hamster and cage and supplies to keep it fed.
show your willingness to learn all you can about how to take care of them and exactly what they need to be happy
be warned, they can get expensive:
they need a cage, supplies to connect tubes to make their home bigger,
constant changing of their litter.
an exercise ball to run around in; and supervision while they are in it.
regular hand holding/touching, to keep them from being anti-social in their behavior.
and so on.
