I used to do this with women that I coule take or leave. In essence, I was not that attached to them. Now I am in a commited relationship and am much more honest. I thoght that this spared their feelings but have learned honesty is much better.

Where would I go that would be more important. and; why would I lie?
I am a terrible liar so I don't even try.
Besides, I find guy who do that stupid.
And as for arguments, they happen whether I like it or not. I just treat them as i would a chess match and hope the game remains friendly.

i think this is more of a woman thing, men dont think like this. anyway if one is in a healthy relaionship they should be able to inform the other they are going out and there will not be a problem.

Never. That sounds devious, and womanish to me. Men don't usually think things through to that level of detail. If I want to go, I just go. If she wants to fight about it, then we fight. What good would it do me to stir up the fight intentionally?

Well i'm not a male but I do that with my boyfriend. I would rather fight about something stupid than fight about him not feeling wanted. That one always comes back to bite you in the butt!
