I used to spend a lot of time answering what I believed to be serious questions. A lot of them went to the vote, so I had my doubts whether the answers are even read. I now look up the askers history of questions before I even attempt to answer a question now. Does anyone else do this. In annoys me so much when people have got nothing better to do than waste peoples times with stupid questions. Some are very serious issues, eg, suicide, yet when you look up their history, you find that it couldnt be true. So where are these peoples ethics? Just for those who dont know how to do it. Click on the Askers name and their history will come up. Why do they do it?

I have a sense of humour like everyone else...I see some very funny questions...I will answer them as they were asked...with a sense of humour. I am not talking about the "healthy" fun loving question. I am talking about the questions where a person talks of very serious things, eg, suicide like I already said. And if rk had a brain he would see that a history of questions WILL tell you a lot about the person.

Well WaszWondri, when a child of 16 talks about committing suicide, then you look up her history of questions and in one question she is a father of 2 trying to cope with divorce, then in another, she is a 40 year old woman cheating on her husband, and in another she is a 10 year old child who is being abused....what do you think? Give me some credit. Which of the above would I be talking to?

Sometimes I check, particularly when the person is asking an emotional question.

People tend to leave out things that put them in a less than flattering light, and when you know more background or even the whole story ... your answer usually changes.

I think you are taking this a little too seriously. Has it occurred to you that a person may ask questions according to what they have experienced that day? Or, they may have a friend experiencing something and ask for them?

What could the history of an asker possibly tell you about that person? It could only show what they have asked and answered and possibly a little information on them. By no means would that be comprehensive regarding their thoughts or feelings or have any bearing on questions they may choose to ask.

If you feel the need to be taken seriously by every answer you give and want to really help people in need then I suggest you sign up with a charity or help line. That may meet your needs better than this kind of open forum.

Who said that questions cannot be stupid, or about serious issues that are made up? Some questions can surely be purely to provoke thought, right? Or is that "unethical?
