My tights keep getting caught on a zip on my boots, and I need to sew them up. I'm also a bit rubbish at sewing!

Take the sections that are not ripped and sew them loosely together. Do the stitches in an X So it looks like the fishnet. Just double up the thread on the needle, 2 strands instead of 1, and make a very tiny knot at the bottom, one that can be hidden behind the fishnet on the sections that join...if this is making any sense to you. When you're all done get some clear nail polish to help the thread stay in place.

You're better off buying new ones for the time it takes to try to sew them up...the seam will not blend in.

Perhaps you ought to do something about that zip.

That happens to fishnets... any little thing they get caught on they get torn. I would suggest either wearing them holey or just buy a bunch of cheap pairs since they are bound to rip anyways.

Next time buy a spare pair of Fishnet tights or whatever style of hosiery you plan on wearing. You can't really repair them.

You can try clear nail vanish to seal the net for the temporary solution, but if you have a hole. You will have to buy a new set of tights.

I thought the rips and tears in fishnet hose was "in." If not, hey, make a fashion statement, or, just buy new ones.

It's gonna look well rough if you do. Either work the punk look or get a new pair.
