Why waste our time?
The most interesting thing about nuclear devices is they are just as dangerous to house as they are to detonate.
Let them have them and see how long it takes before they realize that mainainence is a major pain in the backside.
And, the reason you test them is to make sure they don't blow up in your face the moment you try and launch the bad boys.
We tested several before we were satisfied that we knew what we were doing. The French tested a fews not too long ago, maybe a year or two.
It is like the movie "A Christmas Story" in which they keep telling the buy he doesn't need a B.B. gun because he'll shoot his eye out, and yet he gets one and nearly shoots his eye out. Nukes are the ultimate B.B. gun.
I figure they will more than likely shoot their eye out.
We are lucky we haven't done the same ourselves.
All we can do now is sit back and wait for the big earth shattering kaboom, so to speak.

I agree with Lord Z. In addition, I think they'll cave to pressure from the rest of the world. They'll realize that they've spent money they don't have on building a nuke when they could've fed their people. The international community will see this and condemn them. NK will see that they can get more economic relief by not having nukes as no will help them. It's the same thing that happened to the USSR.
It's funny, I used to be so freaked out about the USSR and their arms back in the 80's, but I look at it now and know it was no big deal. The Soviets didn't want to use nukes, they just like the power of having them. If there's any conflict with NK it will be fought by the CIA and we'll never hear about it.

Invite Kim Jeong to a Raider's game and let him be the referee. Then take him to the Palace in Vegas so he can meet all the Hot Hootchies and spend some time with them in private. I'm sure he will be very impressed with American culture after that. Maybe give him a chance to meet Nicole Kidman, Sharon Stone, Mr Travolta and other Hollywood stars. What the guy really need is some good entertainment and establish real relationships with America. You can have Jackie Chan perform some stunts for him. Wouldn't that be nicer than talking about bombs? Hell they do it with the Saudi Sheik's why cant they do it for him?

This is pure arrogance on the part of the Bush Administration.
They keep saying they "talk" to Iran and N. Korea thru "6-party talks". Well, since those talks didn't work, shouldn't they strive to find an alternative way to reach them?
I don't believe this Administration is doing all they can to settle for peace.

The testing of Nuclear device by the North Koreans is in fact a victory for Mr Bush, because he would always says, "Mission accomplished" even the mission is far from being accomplished.

Sanctions, isolation, and diplomacy have failed miserably with North Korea. (and aren't working with Iran either)
I think there needs to be military action, but not led by the US. I think Japan, China, and S. Korea need to lead this effort.
As to what kind of military action...I would say surprise bombings to kill Kim Jon Ill and bombings to destroy their nuclear research and missle launch sites. Perhaps the next person in line would then see reason...

Why?,as soon as the US gets through with one nation that's a threat to the world, another emerges and we lose our own soldiers while the rest of the world just stands by and watches and criticizers. We can not take all the problems of the world while our own country is being overrun by invaders from the south.

Oh another in the clouds question. The world's enemy? That's a huge title for a small nation that tested 1 nuclear weapon.
To earn the title world's enemy you have to have people hate you from every corner of the globe...Let's analyze:
1. Venezulan gov hates....
2. Europeans hates..... who they think is trying to influence every decision in the world.
3. Arabs nations (most of them) hates.....
Wow! I don't think condemnation from a bunch of fat bastards on the UN qualifies North Korea as world's enemy.
