Here are the facts:

1. My girlfriend's cycle is every 26-31 days...today, she is 6 days late (day 37)

2. We had sex 4 times last month...we used a condom every time and pulled out every time. I also urinated before sex every time. There was no slippage or tearing that we noticed. We are very careful.

3. She is getting cramps on the right, left, and middle of her lower abdomen. Primarily on the left and right sides...where the ovaries are. These cramps are the same as any other time when she would be starting.

4. We are both tremendously stressed about the situation. I have heard that the thought of being pregnant can make your body believe it is, thus making the woman late. Is this true? Could it just be stress making it this late? The latest she has ever been is Day 35.

5. She has NO pregnancy symptoms. Just cramps. No nausea, breast tenderness, dark urine, etc. Nothing. She says she feels no different than she would any other time, except that she is very stressed.

more than likely its just stress. Some women can even skip a month of thier period and everything will be fine..just happens. Good that you are using protection though and being so careful. If she doesnt get a period next month you should see a doc. because if its not pregnancy then it could be something else more serious. However, go calm your minds and take a home pregnancy test, that will help. But I dont think you have anything to worry about..just try and relax..I know its hard. Hope everything works out well for you!

Could be stress. I've been in the same boat, stressing out so badly about being late that it just made me later (once I was 2 weeks late. But it was just a fluke...never been that late before, or since).

HOWEVER...even if you use condoms correctly, they're only something like 97% effective. There could have been a pin-sized hole that you wouldn't have noticed, or it could have been a defective condom one of the times, and that's all it would take.

Best thing to do is take a home pregnancy test. It should be able to tell you by now if the pregnancy hormones have kicked in. Chances are, she's not pregnant. Just take the test to be sure...

Good luck!

There is always a possibility, but if you've checked the condoms, and there was no slippage or tearing, they should have been effective. The cramps sound like typical period cramps. If she is stressed, that can definitely make her period late. I am always very regular, but I was raped at 18, and the stress, and the thought that it might have made me pregnant, caused enough stress for me to be 9 days late. Your girlfriend is already at the stage where she could try a pregnancy test. That's going to be your best indicator. Good luck.

Most likely she's not pregnant. Stress can most definitely make a woman late with her period. I've skipped an entire month due to stress. If she's still stressed have her take a pregnancy test in a week or so. Just remember though, a woman can get pregnant with a condom. I've known many people who got pregnant using a condom and using birth control!

You had sex. It's possible. Only not having sex is 100%. Yes stress will make you late. Get an EPT test and find out. Not everyone has the same "symptoms" of pregnancy. Most don't have any at all until they are into their 2nd trimester. Just get a test.

Home pregnancy tests, then if that is positive go to the doctor and have pregnancy test done just to be 100 percent sure. Also, yes some times you can be late depending on how old you are supposedly from ages 14-18 your body is still changing so your cycle veries.

Her being stressed out about it could make her late. If she is pregnant she should not be having cramps like shes gonna start. Get a test if she is 6 days late it should be able to tell if she is I don't think that it is to soon. Good Luck.

Stress can make a girl late, but to be on the safe side I would go and pick up a home pregnancy test and have her take it. With her being this late she could be. Best of luck.

we can't know if she's REALLY pg because we are not magicians...did she take a home pregnancy test yet? how could possibly know this. I already told you this morning that a girl can get pg even using a condom. Also, many women feel cramping like when their period is coming , but they are pg (which actually happened to me, I was convinced my period was coming because of the cramping) . You WON?T know for sure if she doesn't take a test...if it is negative, then is just her stressing and it will come once she knows she's not. Good luck
