I mean every racist, sexist, bigot and close minded individual I meet say they recognize themselves in whatever the Republican party stands for.... I may agree with some of the party's ideas but it's just hard to associate myself with the party's faces..
Anyone else feels that way?

I'm sorry that your party got hijacked by rightwing idiots, I truly am. They have dragged down the level of debate in this country and put us into a truly terrible position. However, in a lot of ways, it is the Republicans' own fault. The racists were welcomed there with open arms during the civil rights movement. Strom Thurmond used to be a Democrat, but when the Democrats decided that they had to support equal right, he left and was welcomed by Republicans. Your party has also allowed hatemongers like Ann Coulter and Bill O'Reilly to speak for all of you, and you apparently like it, because no one has spoken out against their lies and their vile attacks. The Republicans have also realized that they can stay in power by pandering to the Christian Right, which is neither, and trotting out anti-gay and anti- woman nonsense at every election. So many Republicans have also claimed that questioning authority is unAmerican, when it is really the most American act a person can do. They are so loud and persistent with that idea, and it makes it impossible for the rest of us.

I do feel bad for regular, moderate Republicans, but you guys really need to take a stand. You let this happen, now fix it.

After 9/11 the George W. and the republican party had the full backing of the American people and the civilized world. What a wonderful world they have created for us today!! They've stolen our country's dignity and values without the slightest remorse or regret. Just an absolute arrogance and ignorance of the betterment for the common man. What took you so long to wake up? Amazing how one fact or another opens you mind and causes your beliefs to change or differ. You can wash the dirt off your hands and face by voting democratic in November.

The republican party is the part of people who believe in doing what is morally right.

Unfortunately, because of that, some people who have the wrong opinions of what is morally right,(racists for example) choose to associate themselves with the republican party.

They choose the party, the party CERTAINLY does not choose them.

what's your factor? Obama's finished administration is packed with irresponsible f**ok united stateswho are not responsible for something. i think of this is component to their platform by making use of now, they don't even you need to be to blame, not to show regulation-abiding. EDIT: Wow, did you type in "Republican hypocrisy on ethical values" into Google and paste a Wiki article? you recognize Wiki is edited by making use of every person who has information superhighway get right of entry to. EDIT 2: Are you asserting Democrats are SO morally superior that they are "above the regulation"? How's this for hypocrisy, raising human beings's taxes mutually as not paying your very own and preaching approximately worldwide warming mutually as dropping potential? seems exceedingly dam hypocritical to me, too.

There's been articles written about how moderates are feeling alienated and even targeted by the GOP, since hard-right neo-cons took over in 2000. Funding and support have eroded if you're one of the so-called "RINOS" (Republicans In Name Only) and I think it's going to split the party into lots of bitter factions.

Too bad....or maybe not....
