Yes about 6 years ago I found a lump on my neck. The doctor I went to see felt it and said "you probably have cancer I am going to send you in to get some blood tests and you are going to have to see a specialist here is the number to make an appointment" Well turns out my lymph node was swollen due to a viral infection from a few weeks before and that it was going to be permanatley swollen. (Still is today)
Stupid doctor!!! Oh and by the way after I went through a zillion tests I to this day do not have anything wrong!

Not me but my son

Two with our son

When he was born they took an x-ray of his lungs and saw a spot in the x-rays. So they hooked ivs to his head and hands

He was this for the first week of his life.

Then they took another x-ray and the spot was gone

Guess what - bad, bad x-ray film

At age 10 it discovered that he had a rapid heart
First hospital did tests and said heart looked fine -- he would out grow and to come in 1 year

A year later we had moved and went a different hospital
After running the same tests - the doctor asked why we had performed surgery on him and that he could die at any moment.

Went back to first hospital and asked them to re-examine the test results. This time they realized he was 11 years old and admitted that they had made a mistake.

His heart was normal size for 35 year male - way to big for a 11 year old

One more near mistake -- when he in fact had open heart surgery. The nurse would not give him Tylenol with codeine for the pain because doctor's writing was not clear.

We plead for hours to have the doctor called. Finally one his nurse's showed up and called him

In fact he had wrote Tylenol with codeine - the nurse misread it.
So our son had unspeakable pain for 6 hours.

Yes, they thought I had an ulcer, but in fact I had gallstones. I'm fine now. I've managed to see a nutritionist and avoid surgery.

What do you mean? Mis understood or mis diagnosed? Actually, I've been both. Either way, it sucks.
