Which is worse in your opinion:

1. For a much older man to legally (where age of consent is 16) have anal sex with a 16 year old boy.

2. For a much older man to talk dirty to a 16 year old boy on a computer?

Follow up question(s):

If you answered 1, why aren't you all up in arms about the age of consent the liberal DC lawmakers have in place?

If you answered 2, how can you be so stupid?

noduyoda,, you have a lot to learn about politics. The state laws are made by the state, not the supreme court of the nation.

funny question, considering its the republicans in control of congress, a republican President, and a right leaning supreme court...and what do you know? The "age of consent" law isnt repealed...kinda makes you either (1) stupid, or 2. (ignorant).

The age of consent in DC is 16. Fine. It's still super-skeazy for anyone, male or female, who is 52 to be hitting on any 16 year old, male or female, especially when the first is supposed to be the boss of the second. Ew. Also, I respect the rule of law, and the law says that you cannot solicit minors (those under 18) for sex over the internet. It's a good law, because teenagers are awfully dumb (sorry, guys, but it's true. Believe me, I was a moron), and there are a lot of predators out there.

Is this really your defense? Saying that it's acceptable for an older person to talk dirty to teenagers? Really? It's so not going to fly with the majority of Americans. Does it really fly with you? If this was your son, would you really be okay with it? No, honestly.

Quit turning it around. Your boy got nailed trying to put his hand in a cookie jar it did not belong. Just cannot stand having that "perfect" republican image tarnished can you. Whoa...getting dizzy from the spin...better sit down.

No, your are not trying to out hypocrites. You are trying to turn this around. A republican got caught doing something he was not supposed to be doing. Up to this point, republicans always claimed they were moral and upstanding. This goes against that. Not just the emails, but the cover-up by republican leadership. If it was just Foley, it could have been held to just one person participating in negative behavior. However, the ongoing revalations of leadership knowledge is what is making this such a big issue. I am sorry you have to lump yourself with this group of people now because you call your self republican. That is why I do not claim a political group. I vote for the person I feel will best respresent my issues and concerns.

Great observations. However, from this we don't conclude that both parties have their moments, and the one is just better on more issues than the other. No, from this we conclude that our government is no longer accountable to we the people. That our government has come so far in squashing the voice of the people, that now, we don't just give them our tribute, but also our young ones for their twisted sexual pleasure. Washington is no longer our agent, but instead, we are subjects. Heil!

I agree with Hellvis. Two choices that obviously are ethically wrong yet we gotta choose one. If you wanna justify what Foley did, then you go ahead, that is ethically wrong and maybe your ethics don't hold strong values.
