I just moved into an apartment with electric heat. The units run along the floor....which is so convenient for my 1 year son to put his fingers inside. I have searched high and low for some kind of radiator cover, only to find that they only make ones for the big steam radiators. And I am sure you are thinking....well put something in front of it. Well, if you have kids....you know no space is inaccessible.

I am so worried he is going to burn himself.

If anyone has any ideas....PLEASE. Before is gets cold i have to figure out something. I have even considered duct taping mesh over it.

That's a tough one. I imagine the heaters are in every room and anything you put over them is a firehazard. I think you may have to work to teach him to not touch and to understand that it will burn. Always watch him and if you have to leave the room for a second put him in his playpen . Worst comes to very worst he will only do it once and then he'll learn.

It isn't going to be easy. You have got to teach the child not to get into it and he may have to touch it to get the message.
When I was little my mom only had to get onto me and that was enough. My brother however would not learn until he had experienced the situation.
You may be able to put up a couple of fireplace screens to kind of block it but the child will still get into it.
