I was looking into this hotel...any locals that can give me some info or some advice?
Horizon Edsa Hotel

778 Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City

I want to find cost effective place to stay when i go to the phillipines....But i heard that all of the less expensive hotels (three stars and less) are places people take their misteresses to sneak around. are there any hotels in the area of the hotel i listed that are inexpensive, and still clean? i'm not conserned with how luxurious the place is because i only plan on being there to sleep. i just want a room that's clean and that i don't have to hear people having sex in the room next to mine when i'm trying to get some sleep...hahah....so what's the deal with those themed rooms anyways.....? x-men room....matrix room....eqyptian room...i'm not trying to stay at one of those kinds of hotels but that just sounded funny to me when i hear about them.

I recommend you to read Trip Advisors in Manila hotels about customers comments and experience before booking one, as you are looking for a place that inexpensive and clean, a three star hotels are good pick, and most travelers are really looking for a good place with a comfortable bed and good sleep after or before going to a long trip, most I read mentioned that in Manila, sometimes it is noisy so mentioned to hotel staffs that you need a room that is not facing the traffic road side, and there are discounts on online booking, they would reply any questions you need to know before booking.
I have no idea about x men room..etc, never heard..because we have to spend time with families and friends when we are visiting Philippines and we need welcoming extra room for the guests. that's all I can say , hope this helps..
Filipinos are well known for their hospitality, hope you have friends there to accomodate you.
good luck!

Go to Mabini street in Ermita and you'll find several hotels in the 25usd range which are reputable and clean, some names:-
Citystate Tower, Las Palmas, Dos Palmas, Corona, City Garden.
If you want something cheaper then go to the Pension Natividad, near the Hyatt on Del Pilar st. Ermita. They have everything from 4usd dorm beds to 50usd ensuites.
In all the above you are 200 mtrs from Manila Bay boardwalk and 200 mtrs from the huge Robinsons shopping mall, with cinemas shops etc.
There are also numerous good restaurants and five star hotels in the same streets.
Try Juri's resto for a great, but more expensive meal. It's on Del Pilar near Amazonia ( a great bar). For the best value meal, go to the small Munchen Pub restaurant opposite the Citystate Tower hotel entrance and you will have a good 4 course meal with coffee and brandy for 5 usd if you take their daily set menu, which also has choices!

I imagine all the hotels on the outskirts of commerical Mandaluyong City will have the cheapest rates. Try hotel names you know or look for ratings on travel sites. However, don't go too far out or you'll find yourself living in primitive conditions without drinkable water! I think those rooms are an attempt to attract customers because that's what Filipino people think AMericans enjoy. Good Luck!

Hi! with regards to horizon edsa hotel.. i just dont think you'll find it so good in trems of accessibility.. well of course it depends on what interests you or your purpose of visit...and how long you plan to stay...
Makati is still the best place if you're after accessibility to entertainment, shopping centers, night outs.... plus these are mostly walking distance... meaning you save on transportation.. at Horizon edsa ur sure to be getting on a lot of taxis to get around...
Try Dusit Hotel Nikko which is within Ayala Center plus accessible to MRT, taxis, buses, jeep etc... the hotel can offer you good rates too if you plan to stay longer. Other hotels are Shangri-la, Renaissance, Intercon. Sometimes, rates of deluxe hotel only differs a little from budget hotels, if you consider all aspects of the stay.. and if u get to contact the right person...

If your looking for an inexpensive clean place to stay with hot water and aircon you need to look at "Pension Houses". Pension houses are basically low cost no frills hotels with daily and weekly rates. You won't find most of them on the internet. Pickup any local paper and check the classifieds. The better ones are listed there.

ask her what shes going to do once you have youngsters, youngsters in no way meet anyones cleanliness expectancies lol , the family members staying over would be a stable element for her , it gets her use to the thought the international doesnt revolve round her, and which you cant have a spotless domicile all of the time, and that family members ability extra beneficial than cleansing ! if i became your relative and that i knew you had 3 extra beneficial bedrooms that no person became in , id be somewhat mad. do this, ask your loved ones in the event that they'd like a inn room which you will pay for , or to stay with you , a number of them would take you up on the inn room , then you definately wont have as many on your place. you could inform your spouse to recover from it, that its your place to, and that if her family members had to stay you wouldnt merchandise, that that's her family members now additionally and that they are staying.
