is there a cord that i can plug into the monitor port that splits into the yellow connector on the tv side? if so where can i get it?

Using your TV as a monitor is only good for watching movies because the resolution of a TV is so incredibly low.

You'll need a VGA to RCA cable. Check NewEgg.com.

there are a few ways to do this you can buy a video card with a tv out thats probley the cheapist option you can also get a convert i belive its called a div scaner or something like that google div to s-video or div to composite
