LOL....that's funny. True. Good question. I guess it's easier to say and for a lack of better words...or just plain ignorance? Who knows....Old people will always be called old and new people will always be called babies or children....

Because people never think about other's feelings, they forget that we are going that way and we will be call "old people"

Because children aren't new, Newborns are new people.

because its hard to say what a child is "new" too versus a child who is not new to something.

Where as with "old" people there is more things that are "old" to them... like paying taxes, social security, dentures...

stuff like that.
