I know lots of gay people, and I met them the same way you would meet any other person, mostly thru other friends. We all actually were in a band a number of years ago, and performed together. I think everyone knows a gay person, whether they are open about it or not is another question.

Yes, I have several. I have several friends that are gay, though I am straight. I have friends that happen to be gay. I didn't go looking for gay friends, I went looking for friends and some just happen to be gay. Some also happen to be hetero. Funny, no one ever asks me if I know any hetero persons.

I have two gay friends:
One was not initially gay but her being a tomboy and going to a high school where the gay girls like to turn some girls gay she switched when a gay girl came up to her and said that no boy wants a girl that dresses like a boy. I had known this girl since the 4th grade.
The second one is a guy. I did not know he was gay until I found his Xanga page. I have known him since the 9th grade.

My cousin is gay, I have two good friends who are gay. Previously, I have worked with several gay people, oh, and one man preparing for sex reassignment surgery who was living as a woman. My favorite hairdresser is gay. I would bet I know many more people who are gay, but I usually don't quiz people on their sexuality.

I know and talk to more gay people than i do straight people...some of them I didn't know were gay untill the topic came up... what's the big deal...

Several.
I work with many of them. My best friend from highschool was gay. My grandmother was a lesbian, my aunt and 2 of my cousins.

Not anymore, but I went to school with a guy that was gay, he was on the cheerleading team with me. And I also worked with a gay man at IHOP in Ohio.

My ex-boyfriend is gay; he tried to kill himself before finally coming out. I also have several gay/bi internet buddies and work with some gay folks.

I met my gay friend through my husband (he knew him at school!) & he is a lovely person, although he flirts wildly with all the girls he is more comfortable with a man!!!
