yeah , my thinking was that they would have to keep spinning because of the laws of physics...both of them would have to do what they would normally do , so one could not beat the other even for weight advantage of the cat......

This is an easy one!

buttered bread falls buttered down side more if the floor surface is expensive.

As far as the question goes, since a cat always lands on their feet and the bread will try to fall buttered side down, the cat/bread will actually not hit the floor, but will remain suspended in air indefinately, spinning wildly.

In "real" life (ie, not cartoons and fantasy) the cat would probably squirm around in the air as it fell trying to get the horrid toast off it's back, landing Hades knows how.

Then the cat would continue squirming and yowling on the floor (usually running about the room like a raging Hellbeast) until the dreaded toasty thing was off.

Finally once the bready torture device was off, the cat would then glare ominously at whoever did this to them and hide for three days.

(No... I didn't do it).

Sigh....if this is a joke then i have to yawn.
If not then wow......just wow.....since the bread is tied to its back they would both hit the floor if you mean first then obviously the cat.....

P.S. i can't believe i just answered this question....
