Would you say that I could possibly be pregnant, or would you say that it is just in my head and my body is reacting to me wanting a baby really bad, and that my period is on it's way?

Caseofyou: I have been trying to concieve for over a year but I finally had got my hopes down. At first I was like yeah my period is just late, it will eventually come and since I was feeling cramps, I was like any minute now. But it has been five days and I have never been this late, maybe two days late but never five. I am usually on time too. So that is why I am starting to wonder now.

I would wait a week and then test. Sometimes a person can even skip a period due to stress. So try to relax, as hard as that is. It's normal to cramp early on even if you are pregnant. If you aren't pregnant just think of it this way....there's a reason, when the time is right you'll be pregnant before you know it! Just don't overstress it too much!

While it is still possible that your period is on its way, it is also possible that those cramps you are feeling is your uterine muscles expanding and adjusting to accommodate a newly planted embryo. Also note that while swollen tender breasts occur both during pregnancy and before your menstrual cycle, nausea and frequent urination are indicators for pregnancy though not all women experience nausea. If you are low on funds you can find reliable pregnancy tests at the Dollar Tree, 99 cent stores and even Wal-Mart sells some for about $6. Being this early however you may want to opt for one of those early indicator test that you can take before you even miss a period. You can take these at any time of the day, but your morning urine will contain the highest concentration of HCG which is what determines pregnancy. Keep in mind that any line on the test in the test are (not the control area) indicates a positive result. It does not have to be a dark line, it just has to appear. Trust me, I'm the oldest of 13 and the mother of 5. I have pretty much seen it all. Good luck to you, I hope all works out.

I swore up and down my period was coming, I had all the signs I normally get and it was unusual for me to be late by a few days. When I finally wised up and took a test it was very positive. So, if I were you I'd buy a home test, such as Answer or Clearblue Easy and find out. However, don't get your hopes up too high because if you're stressing over wanting a baby that bad it could be all in your head. You can actually convince your body that you're pregnant and have all the signs and symptoms, so relax and buy a test and good luck to you! **babydust**

Thats how I felt. I am twelve weeks now and once in a while I get what are like period cramps. They say its your body preparing and growing (mine are from growing anyway). You can take a test now though. Its not too early. Go get one. Take 4 or 5 like I did if you need to. Good luck!

My gut says you may be prego. Cramping like a period is normal in early pregnancy as there are many changes going on in your uterus, and that is what you are feeling. Just go get a test, better to know than have the stress of wondering. Good luck, and let us know!

You didn't mention if you have any other symptoms, if your period is normally regular or if you have any unusual stress or changes in routine. All of these are factors. You know if it is possible. Have you been practicing safe sex? If so, then give it a little while. If not, take a test or see your doctor.
