A friend of mine said that wearing heels is only classy when you are dressed in formal attire. I told her it doesn't matter as long as you can pull it off and it doesn't look too trashy. Am I right?

I think you are 100% correct. Your friend may be a bit jealous of you and is encouraging you not to do it in order to save her from some embarrasment or lack of attention she is getting. I'd say, from now on, go ahead and wear them everyday just to annoy her!

Depends. Obviously you wouldn't want to wear them with a mini skirt; it makes your legs look longer and you look like a h00ker. Also, if you have a weird kind of heels, it could make your butt stick out (depending if you want this, this may be good or bad ;)) in a weird way. Stilletos are not good with new jeans that may be too long... I ended up in a pond for that once, so don't do that. But 3 inch heels or a bit taller look lovely with jeans, long skirts and work pants. Figure out what fits your style. If you are trying out using some heels, don't get fire engine red ones!

With heels, you have to have not only the correct attire, but the right attitude as well. You have to be confident when you walk in them, not looking like a new-born deer if you know what i mean:) A pair of skinny jeans and a gorgeously fitting top. That is a great outfit...

Well, it depends on what type of heels, but for the most part, you are right. You can wear heels with jeans, slacks, skirts (casual or dressy), dresses (casual or dressy), capris, even some shorts. I mean you probably wouldn't want to wear shiny, glittery (evening-wear looking) shoes with a pair of jeans, but otherwise, heels can be great.

Heels go with everything, but exactly what you said as long as you know how to pull it off. She's just jealous. Heels look really great with jeans!!

I agree with you. There are many styles of heels and some would look silly in formal dress. Go for what you like and it sounds as if that's what you will do ...good for you.!!

Depends what kind of heels. Pointed toe looks great with jeans. Regular heels looks good with skirts and dresses and the ones with the rounded toe look good with dressy pants. but stay away from really high heels. they make you look like your from a trailer park or some cheap motel.

I wear heels nearly every day with jeans, slacks, skirts, capris...
The only thing you shouldn't wear heels with is a mini. The shorter the skirt, the shorter the heel. Unless you were trying to look like a street walker.

you're right. a nice pair of heels with a nice pair of jeans and a nice top/shirt looks classy. its all about how you carry yourself. make sure you look nice.
i wear heels with jeans whenever i go out on the weekends and all i ever receive are compliments.
you wear the clothes and shoes - dont let them wear you!!
