It is a Japanesse Proverb.

It means "Don't let them get you down."
Or "Don't let them keep you down."
Or as Tupac would say "Keep your head up"

When life knocks you down, dust yourself off and get back up.

and after that you STAND UP for your self.
making eight all-together.
