Please don't use freeservers or geocities. It's embarrassing.
WordPress.com is the best to get a fast start and it's advertising-free hosting.
WordPress.org offers you more flexibility and control over the template, but you need your own hosting provider.

try google page creator. all you need is a google account. its really easy to use, and you will not have annoying banner ads appear on the site.
