is harrasing me! He calls and is very sarcastic to me! He calls me little girl and threatens me! I have nothing to do with the money that is owed and he makes me feel like I do! What legal matters can I take to have this idiot pay for the way he harrases and threatens me?

I already told my boss about this guy calling and I tell the bill collector that i already gave the message to my boss, I also told him that if my boss doesn't call him that I can't do anything about it. He still acts really sarcastic and is soooo rude everytime he calls!

When Buddy calls and starts on his tirade....explain to him calmly that you are only an employee of the company he is trying to get money from. If he persists in being rude to you....again calmly....say: "I do not need to take this kind of abuse, I am hanging up now." Then hang up.

If he calls back, ask him if he's ready to talk to you in a civil manner. If he starts up again...hang up again & keep doing so until he gets the message.

Let your boss know what has been done.

Have a nice day.

He may well be violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If you can, get him on tape and tell him you are taping him. A debt collector cannot disclose details on a debt to anyone other than the responsible party. Make cedrtain your boss knows what is going on since the legal recourse will be his, not yours.

Best thing that you can do is report him to your superiors in the office. explain to them what they are doing and how they are speaking to you. i would also let the company you are working for know that i will not answer the phone for them ever again. hopefully they will understand you and take proper action. as far as legal matters there is nothing really you can do. I suggest yelling back if no one else in the office is going to stand up for you

Tell him you have nothing to do with payment, get him to the person who does. You can transfer him, right?
