I'm building my own computer (1st time) and I need a good power supply that can power 2 ATI Radeon X1950XTX Crossfires, 2 optical drives (1 DVD-ROM, 1 DVD+/-RW (with CD-RW, CD-R, DVD-R, DVD+R, etc. compatibility) Drive with Litescribe) 1 SATA HDD (750GB, 3.0gb/s 16mb cache) 2 fans, 24pin mobo. I need something really powerful to power everything, but I need it to be quiet; Both in a bedroom and media center.

Sounds just like me, and here is what I plan on buying:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817153038
750W, 4 12V rails and modular cabling. They also have a 700W and a 650W model, but this is the highest one they have. If you do decide on a lower model, make sure to get the one with modular cabling, they make one with and without at each power level.

i dont know why pwr supplies are rated in watts, thats what it consumes, and output is rated in amps, average ps puts out 20 amps or less on the 12v+, get a dual rail pwr supply with 15-20amps on each of the12v +outputs check this page. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=2010320058+1131316572&Submit=ENE&SubCategory=58
