Why not write about how the media's perception and coverage changes during each administration? in a republican administration, the coverage will be very liberal, in a democratic administration the ocverage will be conservative..

Another idea, how about how Fox and MSNBC and CNN have cahnged how the world gets it's news? Have they had a positive or negative effect?

Good luck!

I'm going to approach this from a different perspective; though it is true that the press does a very good job of persuading people to think one way or another especially concerning government through the way they report news, they also do a good job of bringing news to our attention in a way that causes people to believe that there are more bad things happening in the world today than in the past, which is not necessarily true, though it may be true that because events are reported to us more through the press that we are made more aware of them and therefore believe that more bad things are occuring now than in the past. We are also made aware of things occuring in our community that we may not have known about otherwise.

I agree with musiclady's recommendation. Focus your paper on the mainstream media's stance during this and past adminstrations. Pick out key issues or events and outline how they were played up or down. For example, the increase in gas prices was all over the news, while the current downward trend barely rates a mention.

i would say "would Britney be where she is if it weren't for the press?"
easier, lots of sources on the web and it takes a lighter approach on the press..I bet you more people know Britney than Blair

Write about Bush and what he's done during office, and why you think what ever he's done is good and/or bad. Hope I helped!
