Coffee Cup?
Take the garden hose from outside and stick the end in the tank and have someone turn on the water and when a little come out in the tank, turn off the water and unscrew the hose outside from the Spout. Keep the other end in the water. This will start the Siphon. If, you have one of those Gravel Hoses sometimes it fit inside the Garden hose and work real well. When you have all you want out then you have to add water back. IF, there no fish then use the Garden Hose to fill, but, remember if there fish in the tank the Garden Hose will have chlorine, so, you may want to do it slow holding high and use a drop of chlorine remover often or Re-fill using a Gallon Jug or something to measure the Chlorine remover. I just use my Garden Hose both ways and change about 5-10 gallons. Then as water go back in at one end I hold it up so it make bubbles and drop a drop of Chlorine Remover every so often and I have never had a problem.

hehe @ everyone sucking hoses and getting mouth fulls of water! everything said so far's right - easiest way is with a pipe/hose, get one slimmer than your smallest fish, although the thicker the tube the faster the flow will be. submerge the whole tube, wiggle it a little until most of the air is out. whilst its still underwater cover one end of the tube with your thumb so the hole is entirely blocked, then, ensuring the other end of the tube stays in the water all the time and your thumb stays put, take the end you're holding and place it in a sink/bucket which is lower than the water level in the tank, release your thumb and WHOOSH you're draining the tank :)

To remove the water get a gallon milk or water jug and cut a hole in the top so it acts like a scoop. Remove the water bit by bit. To fill it, if you can get a garden hose to reach from your outside spiket fill it with that. If not use the gallon jug to replace it the same way you got it out. It might take a little work but that's a lot of water. Water weighs 8.33 lbs per gallon.

use a hose. Put one end in the fish tank and the other in the sink or bath tub. Suck on the end of the hose to get the water started, siphoning. Once it is started it will continue on its own until the level is low enough it won't suck anymore. That's out, in is just use the hose from outside if you have one.

You could bucket briggade it or simply take a hose, place one end in the tank, and suck on the other end and once the water gets close to your mouth take it out and put the end of the hose lower than the water level. Make sure you have a bucket at the open end tho.

Buy a gravel cleaner with a hose and suction tube, get a 5 gal bucket.
I have a 55 gal and change 10 gal water every 10 days or so this way...takes about 20 min total.
