because a library has information where people don't look and your brain has information in places that you don't look.

Whoever asked you this question (it sounds suspiciously like biology homework) was probably referring to our genetic information...our DNA. Each of us carries a code containing information that was created even before humans were created. We carry genetic codes from when humans more closely resembled other life forms...from when we were single cell organisms even.

Someone once put it to me this way: Human's ARE immortal. Our genetic material is passed on and on, even after we die, leaving the human mark for eternity. And by "human mark" I mean the exact library of data that makes us EXIST as humans.

This information isn't only ancient...it's also eternal.

Each human being has a catalog of memories, that could qualify as a library of information. 'Ancient' might not be the best word, though, as it implies a distant duration of time. 'A library of recent historical information' might be better.

It's not. Libraries are organized in a way that's easy to find stuff. The human brain is more like a big pile of books with the most important ones randomly disappearing when you most need them. Like Buck O'Neill.

Because we all have an equal right to the past. Over thousands of years racial groups have moved all over this planet and no one is truly pure. Beyond that, knowledge has moved all over the world so you can find an invention that was developed in ancient China being used in rural Peru. Knowledge belongs to the human race in general and we all have a right to it.
