anywhere from $5.00 to $25.00, depending on the breed, quality, and place you get them from. Shorthair "regular" hamsters (Syrian) are usually the cheapest, and are also called "Golden Hamsters. The "Teddybears" are the same darn thing that they charge more for, with long hair, that bedding seems to usually get wrapped up in, so you have to groom them regularly. The dwarf hamsters can be cheaper, some people think they're cuter, but they seem to be nice when babies, then get crabby as they age, and will bite you. The Russian, or robovowski's, are notorious biters. There's another kind of dwarf, the Chinese, some say they are guaranteed not to bite (B.S.), so don't fall for that, any pet will bite if startled! At a Petco or PetSmart, you're looking at spending about $100.00 for a basic 10 gallon aquarium set up with bedding, a wheel, water bottle, a hiding spot, lid, food, and the hamster. Don't forget to get chew treats and toys, otherwise they will keep you up all night, chewing on the cage. Wire cages cost anywhere from $15.00 to $75.00 for a good one, but either way, they chew on the bars all night. Good luck!

$3.00...their cheap but they need alot of stuff, the cost add up. the cage that has a wheel with it are about $30, bedding is $5, food is 4, pine shaving are 5, the water bottle usually comes with the cage.
make sure you don't choose a pregnant hamster when buying one.

Hi , the cheapest that i saw a hamster for was $8.99 in a pet store and that was for the plain regular one. if you want the fancy kind they would run about $15.00 but they are beautiful and they get a little bit bigger, I have many hamsters the fancy kind , they are a lot of work but i love them,,

Not much. It depends were ur buying it. I think the most it goes is 10$ and u can actually find it for 5$. Thats all i know. O ya and my cousin got them for free some one had many of em and he was giving it free... I dont like them tho they smell soooo bad

I have been pricing them myself and here's what I've found, Petco $8-$15, Petsmart $20-$30, our local small pet store was $7.99 and I also called the animal shelter and they said whenever one comes in they usually just give it away..
