Because then they have to lose money. And money is everything in this sick world we live in. Why did Yahoo! make Answers? So that they can get more hits to their site, therefore increasing the amount of money that companies pay to put ads up on their site. It's all about making money. So why would they give it away? They love it!

Yahoo pays me. $1 million per question, $999,999.99 per answer.
But that is because I am at a higher level than you are. You don't get squat, sorry.
