Do you think dreams actually mean anything? I have been dreaming about my ex boyfriend a lot lately, and also another guy that I had been seeing recently. Do you think my dreams could be symbolic of anything? They are usually good dreams and are of us being together, etc.

Apparently a dream is only "a subconscious thought that has been on your mind whilst you're awake" - this thought then comes into your dream like a question - it needs resolving. just because you're asleep, doesn't mean you're not still thinking about something. i generally dream about something i've spoke about or thought about in the few days before.

it's not all straight forward interpretation either...everything has significant meaning to your conscious mind. Try searching on Google or something to actually find out what your dreams mean...

Hope this helps

I like to follow Freud, I hate any superstitious theory.

According to Freud, dreams are spy holes into our unconscious. Fears, desires and emotions that we are usually unaware of make themselves known through dreams. To Freud dreams were fundamentally about wish-fulfillment. Even "negative" dreams (punishment dreams and other anxiety dreams) are a form of wish-fulfillment; the wish being that certain events do not occur. Very often such dreams are interpreted as a warning.
Freud believed that although our dreams contain these important messages, they are encoded - disguised. The unconscious mind doesn't speak any verbal language therefore it must communicate with us via symbols. Some of these symbols are near-universal, others very personal.

Well scientifically speaking, if you dream and/or remember it, then it is because you have a lot of stress going on. I'm not sure if it means something symbolic though.

dreams are odd things and often related to stress. Not always meaningful but can be a pointer in the right direction.
