Why does Tony wear sun glasses in the dugout?...Just an image thing or is there a valid reason?

Funny you should ask: I'm currently reading "Three Days in August" by Buzz Bissinger, which is a book about Tony LaRussa. According to Bissinger, LaRussa wears them to hide his eyes from the opposing manager/team, making it more difficult for them to tell what he's going to do next. Seriously!

Go Cubs.

He told a St Louis sportscaster something like "the eye's don't lie." He supposedly does it to keep the opposition and his own players and coaches (and broadcasters :) from trying to "read" him in what can be a very psychological game.
