Yes, the concept of "cause and effect." An example is that the universe is obviously an effect of something since we expect it not to last. In nature, most causal chains have an end (like our own lives). Therefore, the univerese is an effect, meaning something had to be the cause. Science says it was caused by spontanaety, Christianity says it is a branch off an infinite reality we are not capable of understanding.

I say unequivocally - NO. Others will surely disagree, particularly those who want to believe that "creationism" or "intelligent design" are worthy fodder for a science classroom.
Science is based upon OBJECTIVE observation. Religion...is not. It is based on faith. The important thing to remember -- these need not be mutually exclusive.

Yes, they both try to explain lifes mysteries. Science does it with a systematic method that can be reproduced. Religion makes guesses and expects you to believe them without proof.
