It depends on what religion you talk about. In Christianity or all that derives from it, it says that God created it, and its only proof is the bible. Other like Hinduism, or judaism, say the same thing, i think, excuse me if im wrong, but all they have to prove is their holy book, or whatever sacred documents they have.

Unless you are Descartes you need no religious proof of the existence of the universe. If you are really asking about the creation of the universe, religion relies on the belief that this degree of complexity cannot be accidental, and therefore must have been planned. What religion can't begin to explain is if there was a Creator, what created him/her/it?

GENERALLY SPEAKING religion does not try to prove the existence of earth or to prove anything for that matter. Religion stands to give us a basic direction for our lives. with a moral code. Proof in religion is often replaced with faith.I hope this was helpful and you keep seeking the truth.

I doubt many religions could exist without the universe.
Generally the philosophy of existence (existentialism) tries to prove the biggest things first and then work its way down. It's no use to have a hat and no head after all!

None at all they assume it exists.
However if you were to ask what evidence does it have to prove the creation of the universe than thats a whole different kettle of fish.
