I'm looking at creating an internet website, and I want to include forum pages. I know absolutely nada about website development...I know that there are web templates, free resource tools, you can build from scratch...oy. So I guess this may be two questions; I want to create a website and I want that website to include forum pages so that people can comment.
I'm very interested in pursuing this, so any recommendations as to where I should start would be a great help to me.

Website Creation:
If you are an absolute non-tech and want a simple solution for this, You need to go with a hosting provider who provides website as part of his hosting.
Each hosting provider will have a web site builder tools with which you can build your website.
Now if your website is little complex and you expect good traffic, I suggest you should go with a web development freelancer or web development company to do this for you.
Forum Component:
Here also you can try to look for a hosting provider who provides very simple way or installs an open source forum component along with hosting services.
However you can also look at open source PHP based forum components and get it installed. If you are looking for a professional and stable Open source forum, you can depend on any of the following three(many others are existing but i have never tried)
PHPBb - http://www.phpbb.com
Simple Machines Forum : http://www.simplemachines.org/
FUDForum: http://www.fudforum.org
all the three are stable and PHP/MySQL based.
Now if you want a very simple solution and which you can maintain and manage:
1. buy hosting and domain
2. Install Joomla Open Source CMS ( which will help you in creating a website without any major technical knowledge)
3. Install a Forum compoenent which comes as an extension in Joomla.

Hi, i love the sims 2, i design mesh and clothing designs and upload them, i have a site for them too! Its like one of those rubbish ones though. My tips are to have a Cheats forum, a Exchange forum and maybe a few others, but make sure you cann link other sites to yours!

I use PageWaiter as my host and they have where you can install many things, including PHPBB which is a forum.
