You didn't say how old you are, but the symptoms you describe mean one of two things, urinary tract infection, or prostate problem. If you are having trouble with frequency and control, I am leaning toward prostate, because you don't report any burning or stinging. Either way, it's a trip to the doc, and fortunately a simple blood test will now tell if your prostate is enlarged instead of the old pokeroo. Go make that appointment and good luck with that.

Consult with a urologist. What you describe are symptomatic of neurogenic bladder. this condition, benign, is caused by neurological damage. Spinal cord injury, even unremarkable, could be the cause. need to try to keep the stream going by pushing. don't give up. condition is treatable with meds.

You could have a prostate problem. When the prostate enlarges, it can effect the bladder so you will be going to the restroom more frequently.

You've got two bladders, and you need to empty them both. You can either turn the switch back to "Both" (which is the way your plumbing was originally set up at the factory) or you can drain one at a time. It is the packing up and putting away process that is triggering the switch at this time, and the second bladder begins to empty at a most inopportune moment.

So you have two choices.... reach up there and reset the switch, or empty the bladders one at a time.

This is residual. We all have it. Continue to empty your bladder the way you are doing.
