Case in point the coverage of Superbowl XXXVIIII.......Nobody gave a good damn about the Patriots having a chance to become an NFL dynasty. It was just "Is T.O. gonna play"? That helped feed his ego, especially since he did play and did pretty decent. Though the Pats won, it really irked me that this guy was being spoonfed praise from the media...And look at what he's turned into the seasons after.

I blame the media for T.O being how he is. Granted he's an adult, I blame them just as much as I blame him for being an emotional cancer.

The media doesn't create the personlity... the media gravitates to him because of his personality.. If he was a great player but kept his mouth shut and his antics out of the game.. the media would treat him the same as they do other quiet wide reciever superstars..

Marvin Harrison of the colts is just as talented as Owens.. but he's not ego driven ***.. like TO.. he doesn't crave the media attention that TO does.. the media just follows him because he sells newspapers and people tune into sports shows to see what he does next.. if TO stays quiet and doesn't act like an ***.. then the media will let hm go

I think the media is mostly responsible for making it a circus. If they didn't report every stupid little thing then we wouldn't know about it would we? He is one incredibly talented wide-out and yes he has pulled stupid moves like the Dallas Star or the sharpie. But give me a break that was eons ago and I don't like to revisit the past. Its over with as far as I am concerned. But hes not the first wide-out to be flamboyant. To be honest with you I pretty much hate all the media that reports on football now except for the guys on NFL Network or former football players. Did you see Terrell Owens press conference after the game. IT was a joke. They were asking him questions to get him to try and blame Drew Bledsoe. I was laughing so hard when he told them I'm not going to point fingers just so you guys can get your story. These lame media people just tell half truths and sensualize everything. The media has just gone too far. As far as I'm concerned its only a circus because the media want it that way. Ive just had it up to here on this and I hate the media not Terrell Owens. .....The media just needs to shut up and let the man play ball.......If something comes up they should just let the Cowboys deal with it.

I agree, the media doesn't help things any. What about all the hype yesterday about T.O. returning to Philly? I got fed right up with all of that crap!

that excuse is just one step up from saying that the devil made him do it.

Terrell Owens is a grown man, and the idea that the media turned him into what he is is assinine.
What TO needs as a lesson in personal responsibility.

T.O has a big ego...and he's an attention addict.....so I think he uses the media to make himself bigger than he is.

As a former sports editor and reporter, I wouldn't give the guy the time of day if I was working still.
