They are entoptic phenomena, entoptic meaning created within the eye.

eyzurom: The colour displacement with no contrast or texture caused by exposure to light over a period of time and then cast into darkness, it can appear as a fuzzy image or if a person stares at a bring image like a computer screen and closes their eyes they will be able to recreate a undetailed version in their eyes due to exposure.
the light is often seen before going to sleep but this will have disapeared after sleep due to less exposure to light allowing your eyes to recover
