can I buy an Ipod hard disk and build a complete player? If yes what do i need to put the whole thing together

I keep seeing ipod hard disks for sale on ebay. Keen to own an Ipod and would like to know how easy or hard it is to build one myself.

its very complicated to build a player.... simpler to buy one from ebay... they have a decent one on there with 1 years warranty Â£50 at last view........
