I think it is, as ultimately, i would say that better things are tried out first on animals than humans. This is not to say that such tests should be carefully vetted and tested in other ways first, but by the time we gone through those hurdles, then i think that animal testing is the next acceptable step. what is the alternative?

It is brutal but the western medicine has no other way to do it cost effectively.

The best is to use human to test it. But it is also inhumane.

Using animals to do testing is showing the limited knowledge of how our biological system works. If we had a thorough understanding how our body works. We would not need to do such testing.

But if we don't do such experiments, we may never get to know more about how our system works.

Throughout the years of medical researches, there are always controversial practices that was inhumane. Where we are today is through a lot of blood and sweats of other people and animals.

I doubt that will ever be changed. Even today, if you have some kind of strange or unusal sickness. Doctors will just use different medication on you for trial and error. It is just how naive we are.

Sometimes I hear of some really gruesome experiments carried on in the name of scientific research. I also hear of experiments repeated over and over when results have already indicated the product is harmful. It's disgusting what these poor research animals are put through, these experiments are not painless and some experiments result in their deaths.

I have a very mixed opinion on this.

On one hand, products and medicines, etc, do need to be tested somehow.

On the other, I know I would NEVER want my kitty to be the subject being tested.

using animals to test human products is terrible and harmful to them. think about this: how would YOU like it if you were held down and forced to test ANIMAL products that could be harmful to you when put on your skin or in your hair???

animal testing also saves your pets lives, not just humans. if they find a cure for cancer because of animal testing, it will also cure the cancer for your pet. if your an animal lover, im sure you have pets, and would consider animal testing, if it would keep your pet alive.
