I just did this the other day.. You have to unscrew the arm rest segment on the door. Two hex screws hold it in place. Secondly get one of those window handle removers to pop off the crank handle. (If you are very skilled you could probably do it with a paper clip that has a hook bent on the end and you can pop the clip out.) Third, use a philips screwdriver to remove the trim from around the handle that opens the door. Then the panel will pull right off. They make a special tool for popping the panel off, but if you can get your fingers under the panel, you can go around the permiter of the panel and then you can pop out the clips that hold it in place just by pulling on it. It will be tough at first but once you get the first 3 to 4 clips free, the rest of the panel comes off easily.

If you have crank up windows they make a special tool which is available at an autoparts store. Its made out of sheet metal and isnt very expensive. There should be a screw to remove the inside door handle and I think the panel snaps in. I think you can use the other end of the window crank tool to unsnap it.
