Nope--I had the same problem my senior year--it's called Senioritis and you gotta get ahold of yoursdelf so you don't fail. I would listen to music, or study while doing something else like playing a computer game--study in spurts. Don't feel like you have to sit for tewn hours at one time to study--you remember more when you take your time. good luck and I hope all works out!

Sounds like you are having a delayed sophomore slump. Remember that college is just a means of acquiring a credential to do something that you like to do and possibly earn some decent money, and, yes, even have a career. College is not the end-all-be-all. It's not an end goal at all. Just a step towards something important.
Realize that studying, attending classes, getting good grades are only transitory activities and that just a year or so from now, you won't be doing this at all. Realize that you should actually be savoring this moment of your life. Sure, admit you are having problems studying and concentrating, but set small goals, like just reading the next paragraph, and then read it aloud. Then pretend you are a teacher and make yourself summarize the paragraph. Then rethink what all I said above, and realize that you've just taken one small step toward accomplishing a finite goal, that that goal is attainable, and that, if you did the one paragraph, then you can do more.
Then give yourself a pep talk, something like, "I know you are down and out about studying, but you just proved that you can do one small part of this assignment. Congratulations. Now let's go for another step or two." Say it sincerely. Become your own cheer leader, in other words.
Set up some rewards, like for just finishing one page you can take a 5 minute break and listen to some good music, watch tv, call a friend, whatever you'd really like to do if you didn't have to study. Limit the reward activity to 5 minutes. Then set a small study goal again and be sure to work to attain the goal.
Once this starts working, set slightly larger goals. Use introspection to realize all the above that I've mentioned. Then be sure to attain those goals too.
Once you are successful, take a break, go look in the mirror and say, "Hey dude! You just kicked *** on your studying problem." Then get back to work, access your mental attitude about everything, and if it indeed has changed, try to stay in that new zone. Avoid the old one.
Good luck to you. Life could be worse. You could be in Iraq.

You have to learn how to study. Of course quiet places are good, but here is what I found to work for me:
1. Highlight test, moving lips as you read(intensifies concentration)
2. Have a notebook right next to text, and take notes in an outline form from what you have highlighted.
3. At the end of each section, make a bold ending line and sit back for 5 minutes.
4. Continue on to next section.
YOu can do it!

Your a senior in college and you have made it this far without failing. I see that as a positive. You may have a chemical imbalance or something temporary that can be corrected. If you had ADD you would of asked for help long before now. Check with a doctor. Tell them your symptoms, it could be something as simple as your diet or an allergic reaction to something in your environment. Good luck!

Look at the questions you have asked before. I agree you have mental problem. It may not be too serious but you have a problem in development.
Are you really master.... 3 times a day ? If so, stop doing it. You imagine all these things inside your head and start disrupting your normal chain of thoughts.
Go get some psychological help.

Try drinking a cup of coffee, or a can of red bull, because its proven they can make u focus and retain information. Water can make u concentrate and make things seem more clear, then you should also take fish oil tablets or eat lots of fish, because this is good for the brain, good luck if all else fails then just go in a quite room with no distractions and tell ur brain, id like to concentrate please! lol

I many times think of of the A that i'm hoping to get on the stunning and that i hear to track and picture of a few reward for paying for all your analyzing finished, like staring at a action picture you haven't any longer considered yet, or re-staring at your fashionable one.
