Depends on what you want to connect. If you just want to share files a VPN would work. So would a simple FTP server..
You need to define "connect."

both need to set up a yahoo.com accounts and they will give you i.d.'s and pass words and away you go. who is your telephone provider should be able to do this for you good luck, go to a computer class that is free and they usually are at the unemployment offices have computers there and they can set you up when you come in and explain what you need or the public libraries in your town has on board help for the computer in the libraries for you to use they can help access and get you your stuff done. good luck

connect them for what? what do you need to do? if one of you needs assistance from the other, then run "remote assistance" from the start menu - all programs and follow steps there
