My grandmother died a month ago. It was and still is very hard to accept. I couldn't believe that the person I was hugging the day before, no longer existed and I could never see her, hear her, hug her or kiss her again. When I visit my grandfather I still think I'll see her standing by the door. Today as I was watching TV, the death of a politician who happened to be a friend of mine was announced. That woman was always full of joy, energy and love. She wanted to make a difference in the world and help others. She was only in her fourties so why did God take her away?
Why does death exist. I just can't understand it!

The simple answer is 'because they do'. I too have lost many loved ones, friends and family too. The most recent was in May this year when my daughter gave birth to a little girl, Taylor Jade, who, tragically, died three and threequarter hours later. The worst thing I have ever seen in my life, and I've seen plenty, was my daughter cuddling her dead baby. Absolutely tragic.

So, I reply knowing how you feel. My dear father in law died a few months ago also.

Whenever we lose a loved one the question always arises. Why? and Why did God let it happen? Well the answer is we don't know. If you believe in God then you can take comfort from the knowledge that God has a reason for all things including the exact time that we die and that He is only ensuring that His Purpose is fulfilled. Remember in God's reckoning we shall all meet again someday in Heaven and live in eternal happiness and bliss, together forever.

I know it is an old cliche but life does go on and time is a great healer. The pain and grief never go away but, in time, we learn how to deal with it. Just give thanks for all the good things that happened to these dear people whilst they were on Earth and remember with love the happy times you had together.

God bless and comfort you in your time of sorrow and need.

Even we all know everybody will die sometime, we still have a strong tendency to believe in the illusion that we and the ones we love are different (not conciously of course). To accept the reality that the person you love wont be around is not easy, actually it is a process. Death hurts for sure but what is life without death? I mean if we didn't know that we are on the earth just for a while, what we try to do here wouldnt have a meaning and a value. Think about the fantasy books, comics...the damned ones are immortal and mostly very unhappy. Give yourself sometime, everything will be better...

It is really very simple: People die so that others can be born. Nature created death so that she could have more abundant life. Every generation is a new beginning. The truth is that no one really dies. They just change the state of their existence. The spirit who is the real Grandmother of yours did not die. She is probably more alive now than she ever was. Don't mourn for her, Miss her yes, by all means but be happy that she has moved on to a better life. as we all will someday.

We are Energy creatures. That little spark of life that we call ourselves, is pure energy. It can change state, but cannot be created, nor destroyed.

We need these corporeal bodies to exist in this plane, But there are other planes of existence that we go through.

Be happy for your grandmother, She is gone from this Earth, but she is not Dead.

Most of the world’s religions teach that something inside a person continues living after death. Some hold that the dead can harm the living or that God punishes the wicked by condemning them to eternal torment in a fiery hell.

WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES: At death, humans cease to exist. “The dead…are conscious of nothing at all,” states Ecclesiastes 9:5. Since the dead cannot know, feel, or experience anything, they cannot harm—or help—the living.—Psalm 146:3, 4.

Most people who have died will be resurrected. Jesus promised that “those in the memorial tombs will…come out.” (John 5:28, 29) In harmony with God’s original purpose, those resurrected as humans will have the opportunity to live on a paradise earth. (Luke 23:43) This promised future includes perfect health and everlasting life for obedient humans. The Bible says: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”—Psalm 37:29.

Death exists becuse our first human parents were condemned to death before they had any chjildren. If Adam and Eve had had children before disobeying god then, they would have been perfect and been able to enjoy perfect life and eat the tree of life and live forever , as was god's intended plan for Adam and Eve.
we have all inherited sin and death and are all born sinners, born ito death. This is the reason why Jesus had to die. To buy back waht Adam lost , a perfect human life.
It is sad your grandmother died, but she is not suffering , she is sleeping , until the time of the judgement when she will be resurrected from god's memory to live on earth again.
You will not have heard this from any church person and today unfortunately they are as blind guides leding the blind.

I hear ya. I understand your pain, believe me. I lost someone very dear to me as well. It's still a struggle to get by...
I don't think there'll ever be a concrete answer to this. I guess the only way to explain it is that for everything else there's simply a beginning and an end.
Life, like a ring comes full circle. It s u c k s I know. I ask myself everyday why God took my Dad away...
If everyone were to live fully like forever the world would be overpopulated. Again, there needs to be a space to make way for the next generation.
The only way to get through life would be to live in the moment & cherish what you have.

Why do people think that death is so bad? It may be difficult for those of us still living, but in reality it ends suffering (at least physically) People may not be ready to die, but in reality we should all be ready, cause we never know when out time is up. We seem to like to blame God for all the bad things, but we fail to see that many times the bad things God did to us are actually a consequence of our own action. Not always of course, but realize that although God is in control is important. I guess the most important thing to say is that Death is only as bad as your life. The apostle Paul puts it the best, "to live is Christ and to die is gain". Also remember this, for some earth is the closest that they will ever to get to heaven, for God's children, earth is the closest they will ever get to hell.

Bodies wear out and so they die for those who chose the long haul. Did you know that when there is a plane crash there is a very high cancellation rate, usually around 40%? So, I believe we chose to leave early or stay until our bodies wear out. It depends on why we came here in the first place. There is no death, only bodies die! Your body is like a space suit and a gas mask that you wear to play in this realm of existence. Now do you understand?

If people did not die there would not be any incentive into creating. Everything would be the same, no matter what. And creating inventing and fighting diseases are among the main things that make humans different from animals. And even spirituality would not have sense if people would not die and aspire for the best option out there. But that is another subject and you might not want to get into that.

The bible says that we die because man ate the fruit of the knowledge tree, but the question is, would you want to live forever. Surely not. We have been given the option of continuing life or ending it as we see fit. For a suicidal person, not being able to die is horrible. So we have been given the gift of death. If this story about hell being constant is true, imagine it. Working or burning, being in constant pain and knowing it is never going to stop. In the same way, earth can be likened to hell. We work, we earn money; when we run out of money, we are in pain, as we are when we work, so life is constant pain, like hell, and being never ending would be 'hell'.
