My husband and I have a nice pillow top bed...we always used to sleep in the middle of the bad...so now it caves a little in the middle...especially on my side...I was wonder if we went to a place and bought a big piece wood to between the box spring and mattress...would that help?

no.. this will not help.. its the mattress that is drooping, it has nothing to do with the box spring.. if you don't turn the mattress, try doing that , and it might be a bit more comfy for alittle while, but it is time to buy a new. I just bought a new mattress for the same reasons.. and i also thought the wood trick would help.. i really am sleeping well with my new mattress..

I have heard of people doing this, but can that truly be comfortable?
That may hold you over so that you can put up a little cash to invest into a new mattress. Be sure that when you purchase the new one that you flip it once a month to elongate the life of the mattress.

That will help. But turning the mattress over every month would probably have prevented that from occurring. The board my also make for an uncomfortable sleep.

maybe, it depends on how much the matress is pushed down, a piece of 3/4 inch plywood may do the trick, it's sure alot cheaper then buying new matresses.
