Depending on how your body was before the injury, it could be difficult. You need intensive PT and massage therapy works, too. Occupational Therapy, dance-related only, works well if you havea good person with which towork.
Ask to work on strengthening exercises surroung the area that doesn't directly involve that bone and the direct muscles and tendons that attach to it.
Alwasy brace and take it easy with lots of breaks.
Also, take MORE clacium and Vitamin D with other multi-vitamins to ensure your bone growth in that area.

You shouldn't let an injury stop you. An injury is your bodies way of telling you that you needed to slow down (just a little bit) at this particular stage in your dancing career.
I had several injuries -- back, hips, knees, and stress fractures to my shins. I truly believe that my body was slowing me down the best it could. This was also challenging for me to get back because you have to learn a new way to use those muscles all over again.
It is an exercise for your body and your MIND. Challenge yourself and get back in the studio. Your pinky bone may never be the same but I would almost guarantee that there are strengths that you never knew you had that your body is just waiting for you to discover.
It sounds like you are very dedicated to this art of dancing and I think that it would be unfortunate to not give yourself another shot.
Good luck!

Well I have done intensive ballet and pointe for years and after I hurt my ankle it took me at least a year to get back to where I needed to be. You should nurse your hurt pinky because it will heal all the way and not just half of the way so it will get hurt again more easily. Thats why you should let it heal all the way. You will get back to your normal regime and do just fine once it has healed. I am sorry that you injured yourself that is so hard to not do something that you love. I know from experience with my injury a couple years ago. Good luck and get back to what you love as soon as possible!

Ask your doctor when you can start dancing again, and follow their advice. Definitely don't do pointe again until you are really confident it has totally healed.
Bear in mind that if you dance on the foot too soon, you could do more damage and that could really wreck your career. So don't be tempted to take short cuts.
Even if you can't dance on your feet, there are lots of other things you can do. You can exercise the whole of the rest of your body! Pilates is used by professional dancers to keep in dance condition while they are injured, so that's one good option. Many of the exercises are done lying down, so there's no pressure on your foot.
Do lots of reading and research about dancing in the library, on the net etc. A good dancer exercises her mind as well as her body.

It takes some effeort to get back, but if you love it you should definitely plan on getting back. Many great dancers that we know have had injuries, and they got back and danaced again and were better than ever. Maya Plisetskaya had severe problems with her knees. Doctors kept telling her that her dancing days are over. That was when she was in her 20s. But she kept going from doctor to doctor till she found one who said "I'll help you. You'll dance again". She danced for a few decaeds more afther that.
Long story short: take your time to recover. Get back to dancing after that. Wishing you speedy recovery.

I don't know to much about dancing perf. but I know this recovering from an injury and going back to what you use to do will be hard. Nothing in life comes easy, it's just up to you if you are willing to keep trying and work your best. And never give up.
An please don't get scared (from people tell you, like you can't do it because they couldnt) and give up before you try an give it your all. Try it for yourself and learn from others mistakes.
