I don't think the coaches I have had had any degree, but they did take courses on safety, and how to spot tumbling ad so on.

Judging from your question...you wouldn't be a cheer leader would you?
No, I do not believe you need to have a degree to be a cheerleading coach. You just say, "Please God, make me a cheerleading coach" If you are really, really, really good and promise to be a good christian and stop having sex with the football players under the bleachers, God might grant you your wish...
