As a Mets fan I want the A's, revenge for 1973

The point of this question is the why, like my 1973 revenge. As fans of our teams, we all have an opponant in mind if our teams can get there, pre-LCS is the best time to call out who you want from the other league, even if you are flipping a coin.

Tiger fans have been doing a whole hell of a lot of talking there Georgie, you in particular.

Secondly if you think the NL is "too mediocre" how did the Mets win 97 regular season games, tied with the Yankees for the best record in baseball?

Becca, good teams are supposed to beat lesser opponants. The Phillies and Marlins both were wildcard contenders. The Mets had to play the Yanks 6 games, as well as a series against the Red Sox, and the Blue Jays, and 6 games with the Cards (Mets 4 - 2) 6 with the Astros, and 6 with the Reds.

All of these teams were in the playoff hunt this season, they represent more than 1/3'rd of the Mets schedule. Against these teams the Mets had a winning record, is it a weak schedule?

As a Tiger fan, I want to play the mets. Just so we can shut them up and show them who is REALLY the better team!

All I'm saying is that you met fans think you are da sh** when clearly nothing has been proven yet. Heck, The KC Royals could have beaten any of those teams in the NL this year.

We'll see who laughs last.

And Yes I do know Oakland will be tough. IF The Tigers beat Oakland I really hope they play you guys. We'll talk later, bye.

Tigers because they beat the Yankees. I don't think an NL team is going to win. too mediocre. (Although I love the underdog)!

Edit: okay, the reason the mets had a good record, is that their competition was WEAK! Obviously just my opinion.

Edit Again: point taken. However, I just believe in general that the National League teams are not as good this year as the American league teams. I am a HUGE Cards fans, but they are only okay this year (except for Albert and Chris Carpeneter and Wainright). Yes, they are the best the NL has to offer, but I think they are weaker than AL teams. The Cardinals had a horrible record against AL teams, despite winning NL Central. I'm not sure about the Mets record.

I soooo want to see my Tigers. Its just been so long. I have season tickets and have never enjoyed myself more. I will never forget the excitement in the stands and the reaction from the players when they beat the Yankees. Its just one of those moments I know will always remember. I've just been waiting so long for this.

They've played hard this year and I think they are capable.

I artwork with a French woman who became shocked to verify i did no longer have a popular F1 race motor vehicle driving force. as a remember of fact, i can not call ANY F1 driving force. I additionally do no longer provide a rat's **** approximately bicycle racing, a great extensive game in Europe. yet my spouse thinks soccer is uninteresting, on a similar time as she loves staring at those ridiculous canine impediment direction activities. that's all very own decision. i think of the excellent interest of the 2006 international Cup had something like 12% of each human in the international staring at. it rather is a notably sturdy score. My opinion? Watch what you savour, and to hell with all of us else.

I'd like to see what the Tigers actually have in store, they beat the Yankees, but I'd like to see if they can actually win it all. As for National League...I don't know..I mean Mets and St. Louis they are both great teams, so I hope it's going to be an awesome NLCS.
