it wasnt in my local paper, the boy is related to my baby and her dad, hes too messed up about it to really talk and i wanna know more about what happened

Go to www.google.com
click on the news tab...
in the search box enter the name of the town, or the last name of the child, or 'accident, fatal, tragic' and it should pull up any stories as they are posted....

Talk to authorities from the area that it happened. If it's an auto accident that needed cops or firefighters, then there's a report. Find out who would have reacted to the report of that type of accident in that area and go from there.
