It may be a bit too mellow for you, but I really like Nick Drake a lot.
Beta Band is cool too.

Evanescence: Hello, Call Me When You're Sober, and Bring Me Life
Panic! At the Disco: I Write Sins, Not Tradgedies, and The Only Difference
AFI: Love-like Winter and Miss Murder
Snow Patrol: Chasing Cars
Linkin Park: Numb
Nickelback: Savin' Me and Far Away
These are all my favorite songs, I don't know if you are into this kind of music because I can't find your About page, but I think it is awesome!

TOOL - they are amazing!
The Mars Volta is very impressive as well :) Good Luck, music does kinda suck right now. Rock is dead, Rap hardly exsists everything is Pop bullshit that has no meaning just a catchy tune. Music is an expression of the soul, it is rare to find anything that sparks real emotion or thought nowadays!

Ever listen to Sargent Garcia? "SalsaMuff". Cuban rythms and jazz stylings meet English/French/Spanish language rapping, singing, instrumental, turntable. The best of everything
