-5(x + 3) - 4x = 6(2x + 3) - 12

After distributing and combining like terms, this problem should read:

-9x + 3 = 12x - 9

-9x - 15 = 12x + 6

-6x = 15x - 12

-9x - 15 = 8x - 3

hi dear Kitkat;

Part a ;
-5(x + 3) - 4x = 6(2x + 3) - 12
[ (-5*x) + (-5*3) - 4x ] = [(6* 2x) + (6*3) - 12 ]
[ -5x - 15 - 4x ] = [ 12x +18 - 12]
[ -9x - 15 ] = [ 12x +6]
-9x - 15 = 12x +6

Part b ;
it is the way you should read after simplifying ;
-9x - 15 = 12x +6

Good Luck Darling.
